Kelkh Hen Egg by Faberge

Faberge crystal giftware began in the late 1800's as a collection of exquisite works of art, including the Imperial Egg Collection, for the Russian Court. Today Faberge continues to produce beautiful gift pieces, embellished "eggs", and crystal stemware and barware. The Kelkh Hen Egg is part of Faberge's enamel Guilloche reproductions. This egg was originally created in 1898 for Varvara Kelkh, one of the richest women in Russia. The egg is 3 1/2" in height.
